North West London Y.A. Cross Country League

Highgate were out in force at the North West London Young Athletes Cross Country League where, in the Under 11 Girls race Sally Charlton was twelfth in 7:11 and Molly Boiling fifteenth in 8:03 placing the team fourth in this category.
In the Under 15 race Samara Williams produced one of the runs of the day to win her age group in 10:57, with Amy-Jane Cotter a close third in 11:54, with Mei Corbett strongly closing the team in fifth in 13:24 giving the team overall victory in the age group.
In the Under 17 Women's race Hannah Ashman also put Highgate to the forefront of the race with a third place finish in 17:23, the team also finishing third.
Meanwhile in the boys section there were some equally impressive performances from the start with a very close second place for Daniel Lavin in the Boys Under 11 race with 8:34, the same time as the winner! With Gabriel Springer and Peter Laing following behind strongly in fifth (9:14) and ninth (9:44), giving the team second place overall.
Phoenix Love and Keshin Harrison were 22nd (12:45) and 23rd (12:57) in the Under 13 Boys race. Whilst in the Under 15 Boys George Laing was 8th in 14:34.
William Laing continued his recent good form to be another Highgate top three finisher in third in the Under 17 race (16:39), backed by Hamish Birrell in fifth (17:05), and David Mobbs and Max Coventry in ninth (18:20) and tenth (19:13), giving the team a good second place.
